  • Sale! Diplomatic Mission - 1 to 2 players, Ages 12 to Adult Click for a larger image The battlegrounds are quiet, but full of tension. One false move, a deliberate or accidental casualty, and hostilities will be renewed. Then the game is declared Lost. To win, a lasting peace must be made. To realize that objective, the players each send out a team of Diplomats to each other's Castles to secure the respective Royal Signatures and Seals on the Peace Documents. Players must use all their mental and negotiation skills to move the Diplomats through the respective Territories. Deploy Scouts and Bodyguards to prevernt Journalists or Politicians from sparking off a new War. You may have to use your few Wise Peacemakers to diffuse potential hostilities. All the while, the Military, ever vigilant, continues its maneuvers. The Royals await your Diplomats. Includes: 14.75 x 16.5" board, 18 white and 18 black wooden pieces, 2 movement charts, 2 sets of coats of arms decals, illustrated rules. © 2002

  • Sale! Personal Portraits - 1 to 30 players, Adults Click for a larger image For Adults who like to talk over, reflect about and generally explore who they are and what is important to them in this ever challenging world. In a non-competitive, relaxed friendly format, we paint verbal portraits of each other using the image cards provided. The cards are both serious and playfully humorous. We rank the Images on each other's charts as well. How important, for example, are Family Reunions to Jim? More important than having a Car? And where do Politics fit in? To add to the enjoyment, there are Quips to consult, Koans to answer and Furtunes to consider, as revealed by the Gypsy at the end of the game. Rules provide for Solitaire play, a Couples version, and a Group version for up to 30; thus, this is a game suitable for a few or for Socials, Parties... Includes: 12 personal portraits charts, 600 image cards, 180 koans, 150 fortunes, quips booklet. © 1997

  • Sale! Ploughshares - 1 to 8 Players, Ages 9 to Adult Ploughshares Click for a larger image In 1895 in Russia, a group of Christian villagers, believing deeply in Peace and Sharing, burned the Weapons given them by the Tsar. We become those villagers, driving wagons through the countryside, visiting homes to collect Firewood and Weapons. We take these to the Village Center and make Ploughshares. Watch for the Tsar's patrolling soldiers who will confiscate our wagons and send us to prison. Learn love and courage so, with the guidance of our Wise Elders, we will remain determined in our Cause. We might even inspire some Soldiers to drop their weapons and join with us. It will be an Adventure filled with danger and great rewards. To fulfill our task, we must be gentle as a Dove and wise as a Serpent. This is a game of collaboration, learning and discussion; a game full of exciting strategy, with each of us making an important contribution. Includes: 17 x 17" board, special playing cards, movers, dice, collection chart, wagons, rules for regular and advanced games. © 1996 Our customers say: "Made us think about so many deep issues." — British Columbia, Canada

  • Sale! Power Blackout - 3 to 12 players, Ages 12 to Adult Click for a larger image Within 16 rounds or fewer, bring Power to all 100 Populated Centers on the Continent. We are CEOs in control of our own Power Grids on the Continent. Each of us is responsible for bringing and maintaining full electrical service to our Populated Centers. There are Bonus Revenues and other Perks for fully servicing one’s own Area. However, as we have learned from several recent Blackouts, each Grid is interdependent with other Grids, so CEOs must work together for the survival of the Continental Power System. Negotiation and deal-making skills are very important to everyone’s success. Thus, tension is created between balancing the needs of one’s own constituency and the overall good. When is it best to compromise and when is it best to be selfish? The well-being of millions of people are at stake. Includes: 17 x 17" board, rules, action summary cards, 100 tower/blackout tokens, bank notes (1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 million dollars), set of play cards including a CEO card, 12 continental areas, 12 power plants, 16 year/going rates, a variety of good and bad news cards. © 2004 Our customers say: "Wheeling and dealing and hardnosed bargaining while trying to keep an eye on the entire Continent’s situation makes this a very challenging game. The great interaction among the players, often with a competitive edge, makes this a very different co-operative game. We six adults have played 12 times now for an exhausting, exhilarating experience each time!" — Sean, OH
